Aiken Community Theatre Rebrand

Description

Having just celebrated over 60 years of quality theatre and theatre programs in the Aiken, South Carolina area and on the eve of announcing their 2018-2019 season, the Aiken Community Playhouse was looking to rebrand and refresh their image.

This rebranding not only incorporated a new logo but a new name as well. The use of ‘theatre’ in the name as opposed to ‘playhouse’ is a more modern phrasing which evokes the organization’s role as a place not only to produce plays and musicals, but to learn about all facets of theatre arts.

This new look and feel was incorporated across all media including posters, website and social media.

“The board of directors feels strongly that this new cohesive, recognizable branding will better celebrate the organization’s spirit of community, interpersonal connection, and fun while attracting new participants,” said Thurmond Whatley, executive director of the ACT Board.
